Criteria for the yearbook

In order to get your dog in The Cairn Terrier yearbook,
covering the show season 2012, the following criteria must be fulfilled:

Qualification for the yearbook:

Your dog has to have obtained "CK" at an official show held by either the Danish Terrier Club or The Danish Kennel Club. This qualification goes for both danish and foreign dogs.

Also if your dog goes BIS 1-4 at one of the two open cairn terrier shows in Sept. 2012, and provided at least 50 dogs has been entered, will qualify your dog for the yearbook.


Actually admission in the yearbook calls for the following to be fulfilled:

a)  the yearbook editors needs 

1) a copy of your dogs pedigree,

2) a copy of documentation that you are the owner of the dog,

3) a picture of your dog in color (min. 500 KB)

b) that you are a registred member of the Danish TERRIER Club's list of memeber on the date 01.12.2011. (You will only be found on this list when your membership has been payed) or the breeder is a member.

Deadline for all above mentioned is 01.12.2012,

and lacking any of the above mentioned means your dog will NOT be admitted in the yearbook.

Extra explaination:

If your dog was in last years yearbook it might be a good ideá to check out all information are still valid. Has your dog new titles to add or did you move, read below.


Re a1 - pedigree:

Take a copy of the pedigree and then on this copy add (if needed) titles. Titles must be shown like Dkch for Danish Champion. Only titles on the copy of the pedigree will go into the yearbook. 


Re a2 - prove of ownership:

In Denmark we get a prove of ownership on each dog. In some countries the owner will be seen on the pedigree. You just need to provide some kind of document in order to prove your ownership.

If you are both breeder and owner you don't have to do anything unless you in the meantime moved to another address. 


Re a3 - picture:

It sounds easy, but it's not as you often will need help from more people at the same time in order to have a good picture of your dog taken.


Re b - membership of the Danish TERRIER Club (DTK):

If you are already a member of DTK please check out you are listed at your correct address as you can't be found on the list of members if you have moved and forgotten to inform DTK about your new address. Go check the back side of the magazine "Terrier Nyt". 

If you wish to become a member of DTK in order to have your dog in the yearbook you need to make sure your payment can be seen in fair time before the deadline on 01.12.2011.
